So it’s all done, the summer in Toronto. Sad really, because the cold weather isn’t really all that pleasant. Cold weather aside, it’s nice to think back to the things that did happen that made the summer so much more fantastic than it had to be such as…

Pier Pressure 2010 – the 2nd Annual Vital & Liquid Stairs boat cruise, when being on a boat with great friends, and great tunes all at once makes for a delicious evening out on the water. If you missed it, you missed out, but worry not because there will be a similar event come summer 2011

Ongoing gigs with myself and the awesome Vital crew, many of which stood well with the fine atmosphere of Libra Lounge.
Methinks we shall try yet another lounge in the city for some time in November or December 2010.

.. And now that the fall season is underway, I seem to be ringing in the season in quite a special way, thanks to the kind ladies behind Vapor Creative. They are a pair of artists that organized events with the Vital crew before and have called us back to play for 12 hours long for Toronto’s famed Nuit Blanche. The event is:

Summer 2010 is a great one so far, and I haven’t even passed through the month of May! Things have been busy in non-internet real-life! The Vital Radio team and myself have been gigging steady and even did a live stream for our Vital Radio episode 100!

There’s also a thorough listing for all my vital radio sets, which by the way can all be found as a podcast in iTunes, within the Vital Radio podcast. The sets can all be streamed or downloaded. If yee bee interested, they’re all right in [this link].

Libra Lounge -our favourite Toronto residency to date- has undergone some recent and very well-deserved renovations too! It’s amazing how they’ve managed to do this on the off-days before the weekend’s busy nights! We’ll have pics from the place posted on the VitalEvents.net website after this weekend’s event, but I can’t guarantee there will be many pictures of JUST the space itself.

Not only have they renovated, but they asked me to rework the sound system! After about 6 hours of untwisting the cables and re-fitting amplifiers and processing to the new space, I think the place has a MUCH less piercing sound to it. I really enjoy helping a space sound better, especially if I spin there a lot. The best part now is the augmented bass and no more blown tweeters in the speakers.
